Solanda Enterprises, Inc. was established in May 10, 1976. The name SOLANDA was coined by combining the names of two streets, where the company is located -- Solana and Anda, which, incidentally, have very good meanings. In Latin, Solana means sun, while Anda means to move. Thus, we always say that, "For as long as the sun continues to shine, we will keep on moving forward!" The company's business site in Intramuros, Manila was also strategically selected. Its proximity to the North and South harbors makes shipping of goods much more convenient.

Commencing its business as a regional distributor of replacement spare parts and fishing accessories, the company, just a few years after its inception, has emerged as the biggest distributor of small gasoline engines, and was eventually awarded exclusive distributorship of diverse product lines and brands. This includes marine engines, industrial gensets, power tools, construction equipment and solar water heaters. And from a small company with a handful of employees, Solanda today is considered as one of the most respected companies in the construction, agricultural, fishing and industrial machinery products.

Due to the diverse product lines of the company, Solanda has created eight Sales Departments. Each department is represented by a competent Product Manager to ensure proper focus and effective response to the needs of our dealers and customers. Its success in maintaining its position in the nation's primary industries can also be attributed to a well-organized sales force and a network of more than 600 Dealers and Sub-dealers, positioned in practically all major cities and provinces in the country.

The company maintains its philosophy that only good quality products that will truly benefit the end-users should be carried and sold by Solanda. And in its operations, customer satisfaction and after-sales-service should always be a top priority.
